Albizia EH Wilson 10 Seeds

The Persian sleeping tree has very special flowers that stand out especially because of the round bundles of pink stamens that protrude far beyond the petals. This variety of Mr. Wilson, unlike the common species, is well hardy. The maximum height is 6 meters, but the tree is also easy to prune. Despite the beautiful growth, flowering and winter hardiness, the species is not yet found much in the Netherlands. They can be seen regularly around the Mediterranean and already in 1745 it was imported into England from the original habitat of China. In addition to the beautiful flowers, the leaves of the Albizia are also very worthwhile. The double-pinnate, sickle-shaped leaves that resemble the leaf of the fern fold shut at night. Hence the name ‘sleeping tree’.
