Description

Eucalyptus torquata, more commonly known as Coral Gum or Coolgardie Gum, is a tree in the vicinity of Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie, and south to about Widgiemooltha in Western Australia.
This species reaches between 4 and 11 meters in height in its original habitat. It produces clusters of orange barrel-shaped buds with horned caps, followed by fertile red or pink flowers between August and December. The bark is rough.
Coral Gum is usually grown for small gardens and for use as a street tree, especially in dry areas.
