Description

A lily-like plant native to South Africa’s southwestern Cape province that forms clusters of straplike, light green gives rise to long-stalked inflorescences that hold a globe of countless, lily-like flowers on the tip. In cultivation, it does well in a range of temperate climates in USDA Zones 7 through 10. The cultivar Alba has white instead of the typical blue flowers. It is evergreen in a milder climate but loses its leaves in colder winters.
