‘Sungold’ has special, filled-flowered (double) flowers, this species grows to a height of about 60 centimeters and looks beautiful in borders and beds. They are also excellent cut flowers that are in the vase for a long time. The plants form side branches on which flowers also grow. The flowering wealth is therefore quite large. The sunflower is an annual plant from the composite family and is originally from North and South America. The plants can be easily grown on any well-drained type of soil. When the sun shines, the (still dense) flowers rotate with the sun, from east to west. At night they return to the east.
Sow from late March to mid-April under glass or mid-April to mid-June outdoors on a seedbed, after 5 to 6 weeks plant out outdoors.
