Description
Fatsia japonica has large leaves, up to 40 cm. The leaves are dark green and glossy and are deeply lobed. There are at least 8 lobes on a leaf. The veins in the leaf are clearly visible, the leaf is attached to the plant with a large stem.
Fatsia japonica blooms in October and November. There are balls on a long stem, with small creamy white flowers. The flowers attract ants, flies and bees. If it does not freeze too hard, berries will come to the plant after flowering.
