Description

A stemless dwarf species forming clusters of small rosettes with short, stiff, narrow, pale green leaves and tall inflorescences, Y. reverchoni is native only to a small area in central western Texas around San Angelo at elevations of 400 to 1000 m (1300 to 3300 ft.) on the Edwards Plateau and in the Mexican state of Coahuila. It tolerates heavy frosts, but requires a well-drained, sunny spot in the temperate or subtropical garden. In landscaping, it lends itself best to mass planting as a low-maintenance ground cover.
