USDA Zones 8 and Feijoa 10 Feijoa is hardy to 10ºF (-12ºC) and does best, where winters are cool and summers moderate with temperatures between 80-90ºC (26-32ºC). To produce fruit, feijoas need 100-200 chilling hours below 45ºF (7ºC). Heat stress in the summer can cause them to drop fruit prematurely.
